About Sterling Action Firearms

This is not a drama class.

It's real training built around the drills and skills real professionals actually use, taught with live-fire and gas-powered weapons under proper range conditions. Skills are taught step by step — broken down, drilled, refined — before pressure is layered on top. Performers leave knowing how to handle, manipulate, and move with firearms confidently because they have actually done it, repeatedly and under pressure. We run chaos drills and scenario work that find the cracks in your handling and close them.

The aim isn't to look right for one shot. It's to have the confidence to become part of a working team on a feature film — to be cue-able on a job, every take, all day. That baseline of knowledge accelerates your ability to excel in your role.

Safety is the foundation underneath all of our sessions.

Despite the tough talk, the room we build is calm, supportive, and entirely judgement-free. We routinely train performers with no prior firearms experience — and the aim, alongside everything else, is that everyone has a brilliant day.

The team

The instructor team consists of people who have worked with Paramount, Universal, Amazon Studios, and other major productions. Our instructors include Met Police firearms officers — specialising in assault, search and close-quarters operations — alongside instructors with UK military and Special Forces backgrounds, and others who have trained with those communities both in the UK and abroad. All instructors are NRA UK Bisley-qualified.
